Miss GEICO,the world’s fastest offshore racing boat, makes her first appearance in Atlantic City at this year’s show. The legendary boat is powered with the same turbine engines that flew missions in the first Gulf War and is capable of reaching speeds of more than 185 miles per hour. At 40 feet and weighing 10,000 pounds, this MTI turbine race boat is run by a crew of six, including Driver Marc Granet. The boat has set two world records and participated in more than 15 races around the world in 2007. She won back-to-back world championships at the 2006 and 2007 Offshore Super Series and captured championships at Super Boat International and Offshore Performance Association. In October 2007, Miss GEICO shattered another milestone when she hit an average top speed of 188.26 mph on the Mississippi River.

Are you a NJ boater? Do you need the proper certification to operate a powered vessel? If you answered yes then we can help. Take the Test Out exam right here at the show administered by Captain Russ Binns of Coast Boating School. Following successful completion of this 50-question exam boaters will be legally allowed to operate a power vessel in New Jersey. Cost mandated by New Jersey law, is $25. The test is located in room 310 where the Boating Seminars take place.
On Saturday and Sunday, thanks to the generosity of Allstate, free life jackets are available for kids 12 and under at the Allstate booth 712 (while supplies last).
